Advantages of an Operating Lease:
- The operator (lessee) transfers all residual value risk to the lessor, enabling operators to limit the use to the term of the franchise on the contract
- No capital outlay from the operator is required at the beginning of the lease
- Fixed lease payments of an operating lease are tax deductable for the operator
